When classic rock favorites Aerosmith announced a headlining gig at Park Theater last summer as a celebration of the Boston band’s 50th anniversary, the 18 shows seemed to fall short of legitimate Vegas residency status. That has been remedied.

Today the promoter of the Deuces Are Wild shows, Live Nation, announced an additional 17 dates: September 21, 23, 26 and 28; October 1, 3, 6 and 8; November 14, 16, 19, 21, 24, 26 and 29; and December 1 and 4. Tickets go on sale February 16.

A limited number of tickets are still available for previously announced shows in April, June and July. The residency opens April 6 and Aerosmith joins current Park Theater headliners Cher, Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga.

Britney Spears’ second Las Vegas residency, scheduled to begin this month at Park Theater, was postponed indefinitely earlier this year.

Deuces Are Wild will feature never-before-seen visuals and audio from Aerosmith recording sessions, according to today’s announcement, and Grammy Award winner Giles Martin—son of the late Beatles producer George Martin—is working on the show as producer.

Aerosmith (Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer) has sold more than 150 million albums worldwide and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band has won four Grammys, six American Music Awards, 10 MTV Video Music Awards and one Soul Train Award for their remix of Run-DMC’s “Walk This Way.”
