“Would you like a view with your meal, mademoiselle? Please, follow me.” That may not be exactly the script when you step up to the host stand at Eiffel Tower Restaurant, but it surely can’t be far off.
The French restaurant, slightly above the base of the Eiffel Tower at Paris, has spectacular views of the Fountains of Bellagio and of Las Vegas Boulevard. However, a peek at the menu will yield great views, too, of dishes like smoked salmon; steak tartare; slow-braised smoked pork belly; and warm foie gras—and those are just the appetizers. Don’t forget to order a glass of wine or a cocktail like the Eiffel Affair, with Stoli Blueberi vodka, macerated berries, Boudier crème de cassis, Combier orange liqueur, rose nectar and Crémant D’Alsace brut sparkling wine. And to top it off, try a tasting of Osetra caviar.
For a main course, enjoy whole boneless Dover sole, roasted Colorado rack of lamb, or an individual beef Wellington. There are plenty of steaks as well, from a Rossini-style filet mignon, served with foie gras and a truffle sauce, to Prime New York aged steak. Add Maine lobster or extra sauces on for even more oomph.
The restaurant also offers options for vegetarians, like summer vegetables with wild mushrooms, a quail egg and romesco sauce. Dishes like those tend to change seasonally, so ask your server what’s available. Desserts are suitably decadent here, with souffles being among the best, with flavors like Valrhona chocolate, Grand Marnier, Sicilian pistachio and lemon blueberry. You can get other sweet treats like crème brulée, chocolate-hazelnut cake and macarons, too.
And for a weekend brunch, it’s hard to beat the vista and the three-course menu, where you’ll find delights like creamy French onion soup, lobster eggs Benedict or French toast a la crème brulée, plus desserts including warm, baked Alsace apple strudel.
